…Collins was in constant demand. Delays in its publication caused by legal complications were a special trial. Marie’s composure throughout this period was awesome. Fr Paddy McCafferty was also frequently on call during this period. His ability to separate his strong Catholic faith from the dysfunctional clericalism that typifies so much of the behaviour of the institution gave us all cause for hope. Clearly he belongs to the church of the future…
